Located in the heart of the Mississippi Flyway, Mallard Farms of Southeast Missouri sits directly between two of the region’s most well-known waterfowl holding areas—Little River Conservation Area to the north and Big Lake National Wildlife Refuge to the south.
This corridor is a proven travel route for migrating ducks and geese throughout the season. It's extremely rare not to have plenty of waterfowl in the area throughout the hunting season.
The surrounding landscape is defined by an extensive network of floodway ditches, including the Elk Chute Ditch system, which provides consistent water movement and natural travel lanes for waterfowl moving between these major refuges. We're talking PRIME duck habitat to not only hold birds, but to provide plenty of opportunities for waterfowl hunting. So I guess you can see we're a well-situated duck hunting lodge in Missouri!
Because of this unique positioning, our farms regularly see strong bird movement as ducks transition between feeding and resting areas—creating ideal conditions for successful duck hunts. And our duck hunting lodge rental is perfect for any large group that wants to have space and good hunting altogether.

Our day-lease hunters have many options for waterfowl, including a pit in one of our flooded rice fields or hunting a duck blind in one of our managed wetlands. We've spent A LOT of time prepping the decoy spread, brushing up the blinds, fixing any issues, etc., to ensure you have the best possible duck hunting that SE Missouri has to offer. It's the little things, such as having dog boxes available and having consistent birds working the area.
